Latest FinTech collaboration between Chartis Research and European Risk Management Council will focus on Big Data
Chartis Research is delighted to announce the next in a series of “FinTech Think Tank Meetings”. This latest collaboration between Chartis and the European Risk Management Council (ERMC) will focus on the theme of Big Data.
Following the success of our inaugural think tank meeting, hosted by ERMC and Chartis in December 2016, this meeting will engage an invited group of C-level decision makers from across the financial services industry in discussion around the benefits and implications of innovation for their businesses, and the wider world of risk management.
The next session in the series will be chaired by the ERMC’s Chairman, Dr Evgueni Ivantsov, and facilitated by the Founder and Managing Director of Chartis, Peyman Mestchian.
The ERMC boasts a diverse membership base, with representatives from more than 120 organizations including global banks, challenger banks, insurance companies, asset management firms and other financial organizations. These include senior representatives from four of the five largest US banks, the eight largest UK banks, and three of Japan’s “big four” banks by assets.
“After the success of our initial meeting around the transformative impact of analytics on the risk management industry, it is good to be collaborating once again with Dr Evgueni Ivantsov and the members of the Council on the FinTech agenda,” said Robert Stubbs, Head of Research at Chartis. “Our next meeting promises to be an exciting and engaging session, focusing on a range of highly relevant risk themes – from the enormous opportunities offered by big data in areas such as regulatory reporting, to the risks posed by a rising tide of cyber threats.”
Speaking about the forthcoming event, Evgueni Ivantsov, Chairman of the European Risk Management Council said: “Data is a backbone of the modern risk management and ways how a firm uses its data in decision making processes predetermine to large extent an overall efficiency of risk management of the organisation. The Risk Council is pleased to cooperate again with Charis for our next FinTech Think Tank Meeting. For this meeting, we are going to bring together decision makers from the financial service industry to discuss opportunities and pitfalls of using data to improve risk management capabilities”.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday 19th April.
