Helen Townsley BEng MSc AIRM
Helen has over 12 years experience in risk management. She has been involved in numerous board level consulting engagements and has developed a specialisation in the application of information technology to risk management. She is a Research Director at Chartis and leads the development and implementation of our proprietary research methodology. She also is the key interface with our team of industry advisors and subject matter experts and manages the collection and collation of our best-practices knowledge-base.
Prior to joining Chartis, Helen was a senior member of the Risk Management Team within the Group Finance Division of British Telecom (BT). Her work at BT included the development of corporate governance policies and procedures, implementing risk management systems and managing relationships with third-party risk solution providers. Before joining BT, Helen was a senior consultant in the Risk Management Group of AEA Technology specialising in enterprise-wide risk and technology consulting to the financial services and transport industries.
Helen has a Bachelors Degree in Production Engineering from Nottingham University, a Masters Degree in Ergonomics from University College London and is a Qualified Member of the Institute of Risk Management.
