Shahram Sharifi BSc MSc Mphil FICM

Shahram is a senior member of Chartis' Advisory Baord with specific focus on credit risk management within consumer and retail banking. In the past 3 years Shahram has been director at Consumer Credit Development (CCD), an independent consulting firm operating in the financial services industry primarily in the emerging markets focusing on consumer and small business transaction accounts and the relationships that surround them. Key clients included Alfa Bank- Russia, Samba Bank-Saudi Arabia, Raiffeisen International - Austria and Standard Chartered Bank- Pakistan

Before establishing CCD, Shahram was the Credit Risk Director at Lloyds Banking Group-UK Retail Banking. During a career spanning 20 years, shahram was responsible for management of all the retail banking asset portfolios, as well as spear heading development of several leading edge risk management systems for the bank.

Shahram is globally recognised as an expert in innovative use of data and statistical methods with excellent vision for development of leading edge risk management systems and has presented at many conferences and published several papers.

In 2003, Shahram was recognised as UK Retail Banking Credit Risk Manager of the Year by Institute of Credit Risk Management (ICM) and was awarded the fellowship of the institute that year.
