Welcome to the sixth edition of Chartis Research's RiskTech100 report. The RiskTech100 is recognized globally as the most comprehensive and prestigious study of the top technology companies active in the risk management market. This year the report has a slightly different format and we are delighted to welcome Accenture as our research partner for the RiskTech100. We have included Accenture's insightful perspective of the global market for risk technology in chapter 4 of the report. We also extend a warm welcome to our media partners Financial-i (www.financial-i.com) and Finextra (www.finextra.com).

This report covers a broad range of technology companies from tier-one enterprise software powerhouses to specialized boutiques. Achieving a place in the RiskTech100, however, means that they are among the top 100 providers of risk technology solutions in the corporate and financial services sectors and among the best in their specific sector or risk class.

By region the RiskTech100 is made up of companies headquartered in 17 countries. Exactly half the companies are based in the US, followed by 18 in the UK. France has the next largest number with seven, followed by Canada, in which four RiskTech100 companies are based.
