Founded in 1992 and owned by private equity investment firm Hellman & Friedman, OpenLink is a global leader in transaction lifecycle management solutions across the commodity, energy and financial services industries. It serves over 580 clients and has over 1,200 employees in 16 global offices in New York, Houston, London, Berlin, Sao Paolo, Singapore and Sydney, among others.

OpenLink has expanded rapidly over the last ten years, and continues to invest in traded markets across asset classes and geographies, targeting new opportunities within the financial services and energy markets, and pursuing strategic acquisitions and memberships. It has a focus on emerging growth markets, and retains a strong footing as a leading provider to the markets of Brazil, Russia, India and China (BRIC).

OpenLink has produced solutions for enterprise risk management, asset liability management, Basel3, collateral management, data management, and energy trading and risk management (ETRM). In 2012 it acquired CubeLogic, creating CubeIntelligence for credit scoring, credit risk, collateral management, cross product position aggregation, market risk reporting, commodity flow analysis, and treasury reporting, enabling:

Real-time gathering of data from underlying trading systems;

Mapping trades from multiple systems into a common language;

Storage of large amounts of data generated by modern valuation techniques;

A single version of the truth stored in a multi-dimensional cube allowing aggregation, slicing and dicing by multiple dimensions in real-time (Country, Counterparty, Portfolio, Agreement, Guarantor etc.);

Self-service reporting allowing end-users to create their own reports on-the-fly via drag and drop capability.

OpenLink continues to consolidate its advanced analytical capabilities and to implement a long-term strategy to become the defacto source of intellectual capital and solutions for participants in the commodity value chain, managing financial transactions through their entire lifecycle, from physical and financial, to production and consumption, to planning and settlement.
