Research Agenda

The Chartis research agenda for benchmark and ranking reports covers an array of opportunities for risk technology in financial, energy and commodities markets. We remain focused on the fields of analytics, risk, control and compliance, and how technology for these fundamental competencies can be leveraged in sophisticated and market-relevant solutions addressing financial risk, financial crime and compliance (FCC), and governance, risk management and compliance (GRC).

Key highlights for 2026:

• RFIs remain the basis for all reports but are augmented by briefings that allow us to gather additional context and information.
• Our plan is to produce 16 benchmark reports, up from 13 in 2025, including new reports covering cyber risk, IDV and model risk management and governance.
• Our flagship RiskTech100 2027 report will publish in September 2026, to coincide with the new RiskLive North America event.
• We continue to refine our report narratives to focus on the industry trends that matter and the factors that distinguish a vendor’s strategic focus and market impact, providing clearer distinctions in how vendors align with different customer profiles and solution strategies.
